Receiving your bill
We offer a couple of ways in which you can choose to receive your monthly CenterPoint Energy statement: a traditional mailed paper bill or electronically via our free paperless billing program. Changing your bill delivery settings can be done via Preferences in your online account or by contacting a representative.
What is eBill?
When you enroll in paperless billing, we will send you an email notification containing your amount due, due date and a link to your bill when it is ready to view and pay online. Enrolling is easy - all you need to enroll is a valid email address.

How can I change my bill delivery settings?
Online self-service
Login to your online account where you can view and modify your paperless billing settings from the Preferences page. You can also add up to five different email addresses or mobile numbers for payment reminders.
By phone
Prefer to call? Simply dial 800-227-1376 and a representative will assist you with your settings.

- What should I do if I do not receive my bill as expected?

If you have an online account, login and verify that the correct bill delivery settings are listed on the Preferences page. For additional assistance, please contact a representative.
- Can I get a printed copy of a bill once I am enrolled in eBill?

CenterPoint Energy will not mail a paper copy if enrolled in Paperless billing. To access a copy of your current bill, login to your online account. To view previous bills and view the Billing & Payment History page.
- What if my email address or mailing address changes?

To update your bill delivery email address or mailing address (if receiving a printed bill), simply login to your online account, and update your bill delivery settings via the Profile page. For additional assistance, please contact a representative.
- What happens to my preferences if I move?

Bill delivery preferences can be different for every CenterPoint Energy account. Once you have a new CenterPoint Energy account number, update your bill delivery settings for your new account via the Preferences page.
