Please note that natural gas and electric emergencies can still be reported by phone.

Changes are coming to your account Tuesday, July 2. Please be aware that all customers will receive a new account number and your bill will be redesigned as part of this system change.

Here's what you need to know:

  • You will receive a new account number on July 2.

  • Your bill will have a new design and format starting in July.

  • If you have an online account, you will need to reset your online account password on or after July 2.

  • The Vectren mobile app will be officially removed from service and will no longer support account transactions.

With these changes, please note some action that may be required:

  • If you currently pay your CenterPoint Energy bill directly through a bank or other financial institution's bill pay service, you will need to update your account number on or after July 2, 2024, for your payment(s) to be applied to your account.

  • If you frequently pay your bill at an authorized payment site like your local grocery store, you will need to have your new account number (or bill stub with your new account number) on or after Tuesday, July 2 to pay your bill.

  • If you are enrolled in AutoPay (automatic payments) through your online CenterPoint Energy account, you do not need to take any additional action. Your AutoPay enrollment will automatically transition over to the new system.
